Last week, four rental buildings in Aiandi were awarded the international BREEAM In-Use certificate with an “Excellent” rating, confirming the buildings’ very high environmental efficiency and sustainability.
BREEAM is a globally recognized certification standard for assessing the sustainability of buildings, and buildings with a BREEAM certificate are planned, designed, constructed, and managed following the best practices of sustainable principles.
Buildings’ environmental efficiency and sustainability are among Lumi Capital’s ESG objectives, and obtaining BREEAM certificates is a clear indicator that the company is moving in the right direction. In addition to Lumi Kodud Aiandi, Lumi Kodud Manufaktuuri and Raadiku municipal apartments have also received a BREEAM certificate.
Lumi Kodud Aiandi rental buildings were completed in the first half of 2022 in Uus-Mustamäe residential area. In addition to the park with playgrounds, lawns, a picnic area, an outdoor sports facility, and a pump track, a community garden has also been built, where all residents can grow produce and spend time together. 
The assessment and certification of the Lumi Kodud buildings was performed by an authorized appraiser Tepsli OÜ. Lumi Kodud rental houses is an investment strategy implemented by LHV pension funds and Lumi Capital.
